Pecking order

Interesting...vultures have a very rigid pecking order! While the dominant birds jockey for position at the wildebeest "buffet", the younger and/or less dominant wait patiently nearby. The top dog in this pecking order has an orange head and is actually not pictured in any of our shots. They are the more cautious birds so were flying overhead waiting for our jeep to leave to close in on the prime meat, the skin/carcass.
