Modern day slavery

These are the actual barracks where black men were forced to live and work far from their families with 24 men in a single bunk room, sleeping on concrete beds with absolutely no sanitation! Obviously, this led to many deaths and the men who survived were only allowed to visit their families twice a year! This was 20 years ago! Slavery in my generation...such a shock to actually see and hear about this first hand!
