The Devil tree...

The baobab tree. Indigenous only to Africa, sheds its leaves in the dry season whereupon it becomes the worlds only "upside down" tree, drawing moisture from the air since there is no water at the roots. Due to this unique adaptation, African superstition says that this tree is full of evil spirits and is often referred to as a Devil tree!
